Kirby For the second time in seven days, Soham made the short journey to Newmarket, this time in the search of league points, after their 3-1 League cup victory last week. The Greens kept faith with the same starting line-up that beat Norwich United on Saturdays, including former Jockeys, Libam and Jones. 1) 0-1. St. Hilaire delivers in a freekick from the right. After a few attempts to clear the penalty area, the ball falls to ANDY COLEMAN to score from close range, and give Soham an ideal start. 6) 1-1. Colemans attempted clearance only finds Pettitt, who plays the ball wide to Mhishi, who returns the favour by lifting the ball back into the centre of the area for an unmarked ANDY PETTITT to head into the bottom corner of the net. 11) 2-1. LEE MEDDOWS is given time and space by the Soham defence to make a run into the area and lift a shot above a diving Greygoose. 13) Youngs gets down well to save a low shot from Jones. 16) Jones loses the ball in midfield to Fear, who makes a run into the box before going wide of Greygoose and shooting at goal, but Coleman gets back well to save on the line. 18) Youngs makes a good one handed save from Libam, after receiving a pass from Flanz. 21) 3-1. Soham fail to clear a Jockeys corner; the ball is played across the area to an unmarked ANDY PETTITT to curle the ball round Greygoose from inside the box. 34) 2-3. A clearance from the edge of the Newmarket box falls to SCOTT JOHNSON, who tries his luck from 30-yards, with his shot sailing over Youngs. 35) Ben Mhishi is cautioned for a foul on Paul Hill, who retaliates by raising his hands, and is shown a straight red card by the referee. 39) St. Hilaire plays the ball from right to left to Libam, but from an acute angle shoots over. ==HT== 46) St. Hilaire makes a run into the box, but fires into the side stanchion. 49) From wide on the right wing, St. Hilaire lifts the ball narrowly over the crossbar. 54) Pettitt plays the ball through the area to Beck, who hits the side net. 56) St. Hilaire delivers a freekick into a crowded penalty area, but no contact is made, allowing Youngs to gather. 57) Newmarket replace goal scorer Meddows with Olive. 62) After some good build up play from Simpson and Furnell, St Hilaire makes a run into the box, but fires narrowly wide. 70) Soham make a double change - Rutter and former Jockey, Crawford comes on for Furnell and Goodship. 72) Phil Weavers replaces John Fear for the hosts. 78) Rutter delivers a lovely ball into the box for Libam, but Youngs comes off his line to intercept the pass. 80) 3-3. Libam makes a move into the area, before firing at goal; his initial shot is parried by Youngs, but he collects the ball and plays it over the defence for PAUL JONES to head home. 82) Michael Simpson receives a yellow card for a foul on Weavers. 84) After conceding a freekick, Abbs is cautioned for comments made to the referee. 87) Flanz finds Libam with his freekick; after turning on the edge of the area, Libams shot is saved by Youngs, before Jones shoots straight at the keeper. 90) Flanz receives a yellow card for a foul on Mhishi. ==FT== After taking an early lead, Soham will be disappointed that they were trailing 3-1 midway through the first half, but considering they played over an hour with ten men, they deserved to come away with a point - Their first league draw of the season.
