Wisbech Return For Carter

Wisbech Return For Carter

Simon Cullum4 Aug 2010 - 23:00

Scott Carter has this week decided to leave Soham and return to Wisbech Town, becoming the fourth player this summer to make the move.

Midfielder Carter returned to the Lane at the beginning of the 2006 season from Thorney, having previously been with the club during the 2001/02 campaign. During his second spell, Scott played a part helping Soham to the 2008 Ridgeons League title and promotion to the Southern League. In total, Carter has made 156 appearances scoring 35 goals. Scott is wished well for the future. Wisbech Town Manager Steve Appleby commented on his new signing on the Fenmens website Scott is the last piece of the jigsaw as far as we are concerned and I'm extremely pleased to have signed him. I'd like to go on record and thank Soham Town Rangers, and Ian Benjamin in particular, for waiving the seven day approach. Benji could have made life much more difficult, but chose not to and I appreciate that immensely. It means that we can include Scott in the squads for the trips to Leiston and Dereham, which is a real bonus. Quote from:
