Ryman League Division One North Review ~ 23/03/13

It's ten wins in a row now for Grays, who came from behind to chalk up a 2-1 victory at Soham on Saturday and draw level with Maldon at the top of the Ryman North table.

Soham really needed a win to keep their play-off challenge alive and their hopes were high when Neil Andrews fired them ahead from 20 yards after 18 minutes.
Joe Sweeney replied with a header from Kenny Beaney’s corner 11 minutes later and Jack West nabbed the winner when he finished off a loose ball soon after the break.

Maldon knocked Grays off the top on October 27 and were 15 points clear of the field before Christmas. But their advantage is now down to three goals, and Grays still have two games in hand.

All the other matches in the division fell victim to waterlogged or snowbound pitches. With five weeks to go, Waltham Abbey still have 14 matches to play. Brentwood have 13, as do three Premier clubs.
