Ryman League Division One North Review ~ 19/10/13

Ryman League Division One North Review ~ 19/10/13

Simon Cullum20 Oct 2013 - 08:20

Barkingside climbed further away from the Ryman North drop zone on Saturday with a 1-0 win at Waltham Forest who remain rooted to the bottom.
With all but one other game in the division postponed due to FA Trophy duty, the Stags could have climbed off the bottom with victory at the Cricklefield Stadium. Instead, they failed to take advantage and are now two points adrift thanks to Toran Senghoe's 14th minute strike.

In Saturday's other game Redbridge beat Needham Market 2-1 at Oakside to join a pack of sides chasing runaway leaders VCD Athletic.
Kemel Izzet had given the visitors an early fifth minute lead before Abbs Thompson equalised for the Motormen on 48 minutes and Ben Bradbury grabbed the winner 10 minutes from time.
The win leaves Redbridge a point behind Needham who are sixth and just two behind second placed Witham Town.
