Total domination and including a missed penalty the Reserves played well without creating clear cut chances. With a very youthful team Soham dominated the early play with any Debden threat easily snapped out by the impressive Steve Sexton and Captain Declan Bellchamber. Jamie Chamberlain was probably cold and bored for much of the encounter. On 35 minutes the ever industrious Jordan Alexander followed through to face the keeper when under no pressure the home keeper kicked out and caught Jordan on the hand. The referee correctly awarded a spot kick and booked the home keeper. Tom Christie stepped forward but hit a tame penalty kick easily save by the keeper. In the second half further chances fell to Crawford, Sexton, Christie and Alexander, none clear, but unfortunately none were taken. Whilst in two 0-0 draws clean sheets are always good news, half chances need snapping up to ease the pressure. Away to league leaders Somersham on Tuesday for a tough encounter but this Reserves side is showing resilience now so should go with confidence. J. Chamberlain, S. Lightfoot (R. Davis 5), S.
