League Sponsorship
With the green light given for grassroots football to commence, the 2020-21 season will see Kershaw Mechanical Services reach 30 years sponsorship of the Cambridgeshire County League. The sponsorship arrangement is believed to be the longest currently in the game.
Kershaw originally started sponsoring the top two divisions of the league in 1990 which at the time were known as the Premier A and B. In 1997 this became the top three divisions and were renamed the Premier Division, Senior A and Senior B and this has continued until this present day.
To mark this unprecedented milestone the Cambridgeshire Football Association and Cambridgeshire County League are delighted to announce that for the 2020-21 season Kershaw Mechanical Services will become the title sponsor for all divisions of the Cambridgeshire County League.
Cambridgeshire FA Chief Executive Joanne Bull said “Words cannot describe how grateful we are for Kershaw Mechanical Services unprecedented support of grassroots football within Cambridgeshire over the last 30 years, their support throughout has been unbelievable and we can’t thank Ian Greenstock, Kershaw Group Managing Director, Luke Ashton and the team at Kershaw enough particularly during these difficult times. We now look forward to seeing football resuming and celebrating this milestone with the Kershaw Group”.
Luke Ashton, Managing Director of Kershaw Mechanical Services said “Kershaw has enjoyed a fantastic relationship with the Cambridgeshire FA, and we are delighted to be celebrating our 30th anniversary of sponsorship. We have a great enthusiasm for football, and our sponsorship enables us to engage with the local community and help fulfil our commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility. We very much look forward to football resuming and continuing to support Cambridgeshire FA”
