Furns leaves with our best wishes. Up to last season he was the best striker I have worked with in the non-league; excellent all round - As a lad one of the best, great in the dressing room and so well respected by our young players. A very good football brain, I feel he will make a good manager one day if he decides to go down that route. It was a real blow to lose him. The result last night at Ely hurt, but not as much as the phone call I received from Scott Carter this afternoon telling me that he too was leaving, probably to also join Wisbech Town. I must admit that I could not see that one coming, as only just a few weeks ago Scott had said to me that he could not understand why Scott Johnson had left to sign for Wisbech and now he has gone and done the same! It goes to show that money talks hey! After the way we finished last season there was a lot of people, not least some of these lads who have left, that thought we could have a really good season this time around but I now have my work cut out as we are a very young looking squad. I am happy working with the young players as long as they have the quality, but I have to admit that we could do with a little bit of experience to help these lads through. My message to you all is the same that I have left for the Chairman, which is, that I will have to work even harder to make sure that Soham Town Rangers do themselves justice for this coming season. Cheers, Benj
